First Straight purchase

I bought my first straight last weekend at an antique store for $13 but unfortunately I chipped the blade when I was cleaning it. Here is a few pics.

Let me preface this with, I dont know much about about this company but it can be fairly said that whenever a deal is made with the devil you can often expect unanticipated and dire results. Scary territory considering a razors disposition. JK.

Looks like it would clean up really nice, but to my eyes it looks like theres a frown on the edge. Might want to get one of the pro's to set that straight (if indeed it does exist)

Thanks. I think your right about the frown, I have to send this out to get honed so hopefully it can be fixed then.

If you hold a straight edge to the photo, you will see that it probably does not have a frown. I suspect it is an optical illusion due to the blade's angle relative to the box. If it does have a frown, then it is minimal and will easily hone out just fine.

Utopian, you are correct there is no frown.
