Not that I needed two more razors by ANY stretch of the imagination but for $9 a piece what was I to do? The top razor is a Torrey Barber Notch. Judging from its appearance (which is nearly new) I'd say it was a product of the company's later years (some time between the late 40's and early 60s). The more rustic looking gentleman on the bottom is a Wm. Elliot and Co. This company opened in 1880 and made razors until they shut down in 1907. For its age, it's still in amazing condition. While its a long way from shave ready, the edge is even still quite keen and should be good to go with minimal cleaning and a few laps on the stone. Oh well, razor restoration is a constructive activity that will keep me distracted from boozing and loose women for the weekend. Although I fear if SWMBO is in the mood to play the role of a loose woman, I could probably be pretty easily distracted from my labors :rofl2:
