    Default Fairy Tale Shave Bowl

    Gentlemen,

I could not resist this Turkish copper shave bowl. Not that I need another shave bowl, but this one reminds me of something from a fairy tale — and I've always had a soft spot for fairy tales.

    Obie,
That, my friend, is a beautiful bowl. You're right it does look like it might be of another world. I wish you many fine shaves, and may your lathers match the magic of the bowl.

    Regards,
    Stu

That's a fine bowl Obie, I like the hammered copper as well.
    Use it in good health.

Wow, I wish I could find one like that, do you find the texture of the bowl helps build lather faster?

Yes, the contoured surface inside the bowl helps trap the lather as you build it. Of course, you can also build lather in a smooth bowl, but I have discovered the contoured texture adds a sweet touch to the lather-making process.
