    Default First straight razor

    Greetings SRP,

Just thought I'd post a picture of my first razor that I received recently. The edge passes the arm hair shave test, but I feel it pulls a bit too much for comfort when using on the face. I think I'm going to try and send it out to get honed as there are some minor dings along the length of the bevel. It could probably use with a nice cleaning of the tang and a polish of the spine...

The spine could use a polish, the shank a little dirty.

The edge has minor dings along its' length as can be seen in the bottom left/right on the photo below

Hopefully I can get the honing figured out, probably going to see if I can get an SRP member to help me out.

    Cheers,

    UvrD

there's a listing of all the overqualified people that you would need to help you with any questions or concerns.

I will be heading over there soon myself...hopefully. I have a couple of blades in need of resto.

    Best of luck

WOW! is that a magified pic of the edge? Looks like dinosaur teeth.
For certain, the edge appears to have micropitting in the bevel in the 4th pic. A trip to someone experienced is advisable.
A bit of time on a bevel-setter will tell the tale. Good Luck!

Yeah what he said but the best part of the blade is the tang. Some dudes hand choking a snakes head. It's like a scene from Conan the Barbarian.

Where can I find one of those?
