thanks i try that the strop backing one of my pike washita stones.
is perty darn dirty that i wouldn't even strop a knife on it.
I'm headed out this week to the junk stores, Theseus, while the boy is in school.

Nice finds! I just thought I'd let you know that the flair tip you found is a specific variation call a TV Superspeed. I'd have to double check but I believe it was produced for just one year (1958 I think).
The same company made a better quality strop, though it's extremely rare and goes for a premium price:
