Nice blade. I have been drooling over the Hart's. A very nice contemporary look. Have you shaved with er yet?

Not yet. I plan on taking it for a spin tomorrow. They are said to be shave ready right out of the box but I'm wondering if that's a true statement. So, I may take a run at it tomorrow but I can't be sure that I'll finish the shave with it. Being a quarter hollow, I'm not sure how it should behave outside of shaving. The other full hollow razors I have will easily cut hair above the surface. This one doesn't. It may need to be finished off a bit, not sure. Also, my understanding is that they use tape when honing them. But I don't know if they used one or two layers. We'll see tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Those are fantastic razors. My current (non-sentimental) favorite razor is very similar to yours...but I am making some new scales for mine as the supplied scales seem rather mundane for such a fantastic blade.

I trust you will enjoy that to the fullest...and props on a significant other that really seems to "get" you

Thank you. But I don't really think she gets me. I just think she humors me. LOL. Anyway, we're traveling together these days.

Stunning! Is that Cocobolo? I think a Hart is next on my list.

Yes they are cocobolo, a handsome complement. I may pick up a set of the faux ivory as well. I'm a sucker for ivory.
