Queen Mother of Scores (for me at least)
Was at an antiques market today and was getting tired of walking around and not finding much aside from beat up German hollow grounds when I made the biggest score I have ever had. Check it out - it's an 8/8 Joseph Rodgers with factory polish, worked spine, and a thumbnotch. And ivory scales in good shape. And there's not even rust in the pivot. Oh, and it was also $10. I almost fainted when I saw the price tag. It was hidden in a pile with a couple other junk hollow grounds. Just need to bust out the MAAS...
I also got a WB Celebrated for $10:
And finally, a sweet Wade and Butcher cast steel chisel for woodworking:
This guy had a whole box of chisels, mostly WB, but also a couple Greaves and Sons. It was cool to see the makers marks on something other than razors / knives.
