My wife got me a bunch of stuff that I just opened tonight. Cant wait to try all these out.
Tabac, D.R. Harris & Co. Windsor cream, all 12 TOBS scents sampler, and some other sampler stuff.

Both the razor and the walnut cutting block were early gifts that have proven to be truly stellar performers!
I doubt there will be anything under the tree for me tomorrow though:( My kids are going to assume I was on the naughty list...
The wife ordered me a G5 scuttle. Won't bere here for x-mas, but very excited for its arrival.
I think the rest of us were on the naughty list...

My Daughter (8) bought me a Christmas tie at her school, it plays Christmas music ;) kids..., I wore it this past weekend as we celebrated early due to my work schedule. It was very entertaining....for the kids!
The kids had a great Christmas, my daughter got clothes for her dolls, and mermaid dolls, and clothes for herself and more dolls! My son (3) got army gear, dump trucks, remote control helicopter, transformers, matchbox cars
I think they were very happy with their gifts, as they stayed out of my wifes hair all day, playing!
We had about two inches of snow here in Southern PA. I was out with the kids sledding last night, nothing like a white Christmas!
I payed my wifes rent for 4 months at an antique shop she rents space from. Sounds like a crappy present, but I tell you after 10 yrs of trying to get gifts for her, and her returning them, I finally got her something she was extremely happy with, gotta love her she doesn't ask for much or want for anything!

My daughter bought me a turkish shave kit which, inexplicably, includes a shot glass. I guess I'm supposed to do a shot when I shave with a straight? Nobody told me this. I think it should be added to the beginner faq.

The top item is a wax mustache (grape flavored). I did ask for mustache wax:D
I also asked for some more premium creams, but she waited until yesterday and had to buy local LOL. No complaints, this stuff is great cream, and I just ran out...just not sure I needed THREE;)

I got the Jardella book on razors (drooling) and a razor that belonged to my paternal great grandfather! It's heavily modified but definitely 1830s-40s, so I'm not sure of the history of it.

Test shave right out of the box was exactly what I expected. Looking forward to honing it properly tonight.
I find it amusing that they call this edge shave ready. Standards are not very high coming off the assembly line these days.

Steve I haven't had the chance to try it out yet, but I will say that when holding the wood in my hand it is very very well made and worth every penny. Someone is going to be bidding on it on Future-Bay about 100 years from now. The magnetic backing on the leather and felt holds really well. It's not often that I find fine craftsmanship any more, and when I do it pleases me.

The terrible thing is... Great Wolf Lodge is next door to Cabela's! :) We might have gone for lunch (don't get the bison burger), and uh, might have got some other... "necessity's." :)
