    Default W. Greaves Stubtail 11/16+

    Score of a lifetime.
A really old Greaves before he had sons. Looks like it's in great condition from the photos. The smile on the blade seems alittle sharp at the tip. I don't know if the scales are ivory or not but all I have to do is pay and this baby is on her way from
    stockholm, tyresö, Sweden.
I love when people post razors of famous makers before the whole family got involved. I'm still loking for a Butcher Brothers razor. Pretty content with this find though.

This is what ebay had to say

This is a W.Greaves, very Old Straight razor with natural scales. In Great condition.

The blade is in great condition smal amount of pitting (wedge) (17,6mm wide blade), see pictures
Scales are Natural material & shape is very cool, has the old straight form, Pins are copper, nice and ferm - Great condition no cracks. (a name is carved "JWH König")
    Comes With random box.

    Thanks

    Cheetah

I was bidding then decided there were bigger fish to fry. Pretty sure those are ivory. Speaking of Butcher Brothers, have you seen Voidmonster's R. Wade? It was from a (I think) Doyle auction a while ago. Went for less than that Greaves and I'm still kicking myself for not bidding on stuff from that auction.

Edit: Yeah that one has a pretty good smile by the point but should be easy enough to hone. In my experience the real problem is going to be that little raised part by the heel. Those are a pain to deal with.
