Just bought a Big Daddy strop from Star Shaving.

Also had a chance to see a gen-yoo-ine Tony Miller heirloom at the meetup this weekend...and I have to say (with all due deference to Tony) that I am super happy with the Big Daddy. Quality feels directly comparable to me.

Particularly since it only cost 36.88 -- compare the leather/felt Big Daddy to the $70ish leather/cotton that is about 1/2 the stroppable length and width. Not a bad strop, the smaller one, just not as much strop.

Take a look and see for yourself - after some mink oil and Fromm's, just used it for the first time this morning (and with it being so big, immediately nicked it as I failed to account for the extra slack).
