    Default My Aces

edit: I should have titled this post "Pair of Aces" but it didn't come to me in time... which is strange considering where I live.

Haven't really posted much in a long time but I couldn't resist. A little over a year ago, my Grandfather gave me a razor he had kept in his basement for a long time. He had a Case's Ace razor that he bought years ago and never did get into using it but he's kind of a hoarder like me so it sat around unused.

After I got this, I learned Genco had a razor, the Easy Aces that is essentially an identical razor. I had to have one; but it took me about a year to get one that was of similar condition. These, along with my two customs from Max are probably the only razors that I can guarantee will be permanently in my collection.

One is square and one is round, I'll keep my eye out for a round point Easy Aces but I couldn't be more happy. They photo is on a towel as I had just finished honing both of them to compare

There is an easy explanation for the similar razor, case bought Geneva cutlery, the makers of Genco.

I figured this was the case (no pun intended) as both companies are from Bradford, PA; I just never actually looked into the history. Thank you for posting that!

    Jeeez Martin,

Do you have any more compelling evidence to support your assertion?

Well that way there is no "my friends told me" or "I think" thats black on white no question asked. I did a lot of research and finding out that even a lot of books are full of mistake.

EASY ACES are good blades. Here are two of the three I have collected.

I have 16 Gencos and live just a short piece down the road from Bradford PA.
