Wacker rescale and a story
This started out as a rescaling for a Heribert Wacker blue steel razor. I wanted a Wacker razor but in scales that weren't available from his stock razors so I bought the scales separately and rescaled it. Tragedy occurred though, I dropped the razor right onto its edge during the process and left a crack in it. This wasn't a life ending crack but it was significant. I didn't bother to count how many circle strokes I had to do total because it had to be well over 1000.
The good news though is that after circling past the damage I was able to hone the blade back to shave ready. My honing work isn't perfect ( I could swear it was off somehow, maybe the bevel is a bit uneven) and the razor now has somewhat of a smiling edge but it shaves excellently now. It gives a very smooth shave and even gave me a BBS level of closeness.
I still made some massive mistakes though, I forgot to use tape for a bit while fixing it and did a number on the shoulders; I was a bit upset that I dropped it and wasn't thinking. I took me three days on and off to fix this and I'm quite happy with how it turned out despite my blunders.
Here it is though, a Heribert Wacker Jubilee Mod 3 in green paua scales.
