Hi, new to the site and figured id post some pics of a couple razors i had questions about. If the rest of the blade on the DD Special #1 is in as good of shape as the portion I can see you have an excellent shaving razor, once honed. My #1 is in the top 3 of my favorites. Dbl Ducks are very well made razors. The Engels looks like it may have some rust issues, especially on the edge. They're made in Solingen so they're a quality razor. Age, I'm not good on, but I know some of the guys will chime in.

Thanks for the information. The FWE does have some rust on the egde but it looks like only surface rust. The dd seems to me to be in great shape. it was in the box you can almost see in the pic.Quote:

Surface rust is never a good thing on a thin edge. It will take some work to fix it, potentially you have to very good blades there.
