If the rest of the blade on the DD Special #1 is in as good of shape as the portion I can see you have an excellent shaving razor, once honed. My #1 is in the top 3 of my favorites. Dbl Ducks are very well made razors. The Engels looks like it may have some rust issues, especially on the edge. They're made in Solingen so they're a quality razor. Age, I'm not good on, but I know some of the guys will chime in.

Thanked: 1184Do you plan on trying them out? If so I would start with the DD. Get it honed by someone that knows how to make it shave ready and enjoy. I have about a dozen. I think Pearl Ducks are dated around 1940 to 1960. Google Bresnik and Double Duck and you should have some reading to do. We have a special place for Ducks in here.....link >>> http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ffy-ducks.html
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Surface rust is never a good thing on a thin edge. It will take some work to fix it, potentially you have to very good blades there.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
