Thanked: 3My recent antique mall searches
Today I got a wild hair to go hit a few of the local antique stores for shaving suplies and I have to say im quite pleased with what I turned up.
3 razors
An SSA in great shape (white with square scale end)
A JR Torrey (the other white one) this one will be a project, small chip on the edge and warping in the scales
and one I cant quite make out the tang says HE... Sears and Son 1865 (1558)
I also turned up a double duck #6 brush and a brush I cant identify for lack of any marking
any information and/or commentary is always welcome

Thanked: 43I really like the Dubl Duck brush. I have one very similar but mine's a Rubberset. I'm putting a new knot in it tonight! So excited.
Congrats on a great haul.

Thanked: 21Very nice finds, I think I found the exact DD Brush(BIG OPENING), I bore out the boar that was in it. Just be careful at the base there is a plastic ring that can be used as a base for an additional knot, I only realized this once I dug out all that was left of the old knot and epoxy. It took to the dremel very well, except that boar hair smells even worse getting burnt out with a sanding bit. JMO.
