I got these two straights at an antique shop some time ago and I was curious what the best course of action may be. I just did a course of Mothers on the Morley and figured I would hit the Torrey tomorrow. They both need to be honed and the Torrey needs some Mothers, but other than that I can't think of anything to improve upon them that is cost effective. I'm still trying to gauge the grinds of blades, but the Torrey looks like a wedge and the blade is between 4/8-5/8.

The Morley is in pretty good shape and I can't think of a reason to not get it honed. Does anyone have any shaving experience with Morleys?

In regards to the Torrey, I have heard quite the report of them being great shavers. Due to the size of the blade, I'm not sure if it is wise to hone it. I don't have a problem with small blades, but I don' want to have even more of the blade taken off from honing. Would this be worth honing?

On a final note, is anyone able to give me a ballpark range in terms of what these might be worth? I paid $20 for each of them, so I'm not heavily invested if that's all they are worth.

Thanks a bunch.
