Picked up a few of these recently.

The two Kamisori's are Iwasaki.

The smaller is the Iwasaki Kamisori 1 - Chou Gake, 50mm. The larger is the Iwasaki Tamahagane Echigo shaped, 58mm. The Tamahagane came with a wrapped handle, the Chou Gake I wrapped with 1/8" black waxed cord....it's one piece of cord and the swirl is part of the weave done with the cord. It's very tight and the places that look like there's space are dried slurry that got into the crevice. The only glue is one small dab at the end of the weave to permanently secure the tip.

The 3 Jnats, by color are.... Ozuku Mizo Asagi - bluish grey. Okudo Karasu, razors laying on it, brownish/green mottled. Nakayama Maruichi Kiita, yellow. All 3 are roughly in the 3" x 7 3/4 to 8" size.

The three smaller Naguras are Asano Botan, Tenjyou and Mejiro. The monster, (just had to have it) is an Asano Mejiro. 935 grams (2 pounds 1 ounce).

Guess you can tell why the wife would like to see me vacate the breakfast counter. Not Happening!!

Regards,

Howard
