Thanks for that - I'll take a look. At least that should be a nice, easy fix

Want me to convert and test it on BB10 devices?

Thanks very much, but I don't really want to have to provide any support for BB10. If you want to develop a new app for BB10, then I'd be happy to help with the various URLs I used to pull in data.

I've located the cause of (hopefully) all the random crashes. Thanks to meleii for pointing out that it may be connected to data connectivity. Have already started working on a fix - hope it won't take me too long.

Ok, there's a new beta version: 0.2! For some reason I can't edit the 2nd post on this thread, so, for now, I'll have to post it here:

    0.2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ledxm6665t...tabase-0.2.apk

    ChangeLog:
    • Fixed crash when there was no data available
    • Added an option to try again when data connectivity fails.

It should install straight over the top of the 1st one - Enjoy!

BTW - if anyone wants to translate the app into another language, please pm me with your email so I can send the relevant file - only 1! It's not the data that will be translated, obviously, but the language used in the interface. I'm not sure if that's really useful or not, since the user will still need to understand English for the SR data, but it's an option if someone thinks it'll be helpful and wants to volunteer.

Another new beta. I still can't edit the original posts, although I'm hoping that will be resolved soon. If not, then I'll have to try and set up a beta program via Google Play. The disadvantage of that is that anyone not using Play (i.e. Kindle Fire users) won't be able to join in.

    Anyway - new beta:

    0.3: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vshled6cdq...tabase-0.3.apk

    ChangeLog:

    • Fixed issue which prevented the app from running on <3.0 devices. Should now work on 2.0+
    • Changed obfuscation configuration. Should still work for everyone, but might introduce bugs.

    Enjoy!

What about adding a search function?
It would be useful to quickly find a razor in the db.

Intend to make it easier to find manufacturers, but, unless I can find an API url, full search would be impossible without downloading, and keeping in sync, the entire database.

Tested Beta 0.3 on Android 4.0.4...
On a few rare occasions I got a message saying that the app could not connect to SRP. And that the SRP site may be down.

I never got that message on the Beta 0.1.

Did it ever crash for you in 0.1? If so, then this is the exact same situation - it's just that the app is now handling it properly. It should only happen when your data/wifi connection is gone or a wee bit suspect.
