    Default Chat Room Text Size

I was in the chat room earlier, and I've always had trouble reading the small (13-point) text in there - anyhoo, after wading around in the options, I found where to change the text size (I went with 16) - but when I went back to the chat window, it didn't display the last lines of text - i.e. - when John would enter something, I would hear the tone that new text had been entered, but the text wouldn't scroll down.

Is this a chat problem/feature, or should I add it to my already humongous list of 'personal' problems?

(my wife says I came with more luggage than a 747 - I thought that was pretty rude!)

    -whatever

This appears to be mostly a problem when using IE7. IE7 isn't up to snuff quality wise yet. Firefox works as it should.

On a semi-related topic, do we have a list of "chat-iquette" rules? I'm new to the whole chat thing and the last couple of times I used it I found I was talking over people, or interrupting ongoing conversations, or commenting on things that happened 50 posts ago ... (might not be a problem if I could type faster, I guess). I don't want to annoy people more than I already do ...

Or is this general info I can find on the net? Might take a look anyway.

Conduct in the chat has always been very gentlemanly... as long as that continues, no rules seem necessary. I do recall a year or so back we had a member who lost his self control in chat and started saying mean spirited things and using inappropriate language... he was banned.

Procedurally, it's free range... again, not usually a problem, so no rules seem needed. I do know what you mean, though... gets tough when there are more than 2-3 threads of conversation occurring simultaneously. FWIW, when that happens I find it helpful to direct messages to a particular participant... eg,
jim - when did you get that razor?

    .
joe - got it from lynn a couple weeks ago, lol

jim - did it come shave ready?
