Is there an enable selection for a spell checker? Thanks....
Not as far as I know. It used to work for me in forum posts but not for a long time. I know that it still works for some people. Might depend on your choice of browser ...... OS .... ? What I do is copy my text into an email in thunderbird and spell check there. Make corrections, copy it and paste it back in the SRP text box before I post. Not the most convenient workaround, but it'll have to do until whatever bug is fixed.
OS: Linux Mint 11 (Ubuntu-derived)
Browser: Firefox 28.0
Browser Preferences: (Note the last option in "Browsing")

Also, check your OS installation for the required dictionaries. Here's the command (and results) for mine:
horen@minteee ~ $ dpkg -l|grep spell

ii aspell-en 6.0-0-6ubuntu1 English dictionary for GNU Aspell
ii dictionaries-common 1.9.3ubuntu1 Common utilities for spelling dictionary tools
ii hunspell-en-ca 1:3.3.0-2ubuntu2 English_canadian dictionary for hunspell
ii hunspell-en-us 20070829-4ubuntu1 English_american dictionary for hunspell
ii libaspell15 0.60.6-6 GNU Aspell spell-checker runtime library
ii libenchant1c2a 1.6.0-2 a wrapper library for various spell checker engines
ii libgtk2-spell-perl 1.03-5 Perl interface to the GtkSpell library
ii libgtkspell0 2.0.16-1 a spell-checking addon for GTK's TextView widget
ii libhunspell-1.2-0 1.2.14-4 spell checker and morphological analyzer (shared library)
ii myspell-en-au 2.1-5 English_australian dictionary for myspell
ii myspell-en-gb 1:3.3.0-2ubuntu2 English_british dictionary for myspell
ii myspell-en-za 1:3.3.0-2ubuntu2 English_southafrican dictionary for myspell
ii python-gtkspell 2.25.3-7ubuntu2 Python bindings for the GtkSpell library
Yeah I don't know of a single operating system that doesn't have a spell check option. Of course, I find the spell check in Word the best as it has a grammar function too.
My only other suggestion is SRP, itself -- Settings:General Settings:Miscellaneous Options

If I spell something wrong it underlines it on my browser.
I right click on the word and it gives me the options to change...
Hay, eye have a solution

That guy looks like he could use one ........ tell him to get a haircut ....... it ain't 1967 anymore .... he's a bit late for the hippie look.
BTW Lee, hay is for horses ....... eye is an orb in the head ....... get spell check if you want to post here ....... :rofl2:
That's where it gets complicated, the English being shared 'round the world and all the "local color" creeping in.
I don't know if that fellow (the sports fan) above is the root of the evil, but "moran" is the snarky way of making reference to "morons" these days. It'll either pass, or become another fixture of our dynamically confusing language.
I blame "extra cheese".
here's a ref site:
What does moran mean? moran Definition. Meaning of moran. OnlineSlangDictionary.com
I also think his exclaimation mark is in a weird! Place :)
Plus it's stoop-pid.
I pick things up, I put them down.
Now I know why he can always be the first person who likes SOTD......one of the original computer geeks.....he probably worked on the ENIAC!
Yes I found that some browsers do not like S.R.P. I have 2 computers at home 1 at work all had different versions of Explorer. I just updated the computer that had the oldest version and right after that I lost my entire SRP tool bar, emotions everything. Got sick of it. Went to Firefox and now everything works including spell check (and that never worked before).
Could be worse ....... :p

The trouble with a lot of these built-in and online spell checkers is that they auto-correct your input into some strange trans-atlantic form of, what shall we say, english.
Not quite the type good old Elizabeth II speaks.
Just saying.... :)
