I read the old threads all the time,(long before B.C,Bill came) is a wealth of info from the olden days.
Would never necropost for fear of being ridiculed,So I never do.

Wait, I think it's too early for necroposting, so you'll have to wait at least a couple of years for the rest.
My only pet peeve with Necroposts is when people answer not realizing the original post is 5 years old :(
I think it's a little funny when I answer a new post posted to an old thread and then realise I've already posted. Then I wonder if the post I just posted contradicts what i posted before. Linking does seem to be a better idea, however, having said that, when someone revives one of my threads I'm actually quite chuffed...

If the subject of an old thread isn't dependent on a short-lived event, posting to it could make the thread even more interesting or instructive. Why put an artificial time limit on such a discussion? The beauty of electronic bulletin boards is that they so effectively span distance and time. Sort of like a good (paper) book.
