Thread: SOTD Like Option

I have noticed, as everyone else has, that the people who post pics in the SOTD tend to Like everyone else who posts in SOTD. I only do this on weeks when I post, but I do it out of respect for the members who share their time and skills to post. Naturally I like some pics more than others but I think everyone deserves a Like as mentioned above. The thing is, this takes time....sometimes a lot of time. Has anyone considered a one click likes all option for SOTD? SRP does have a photo contest so that takes care of the most skillful photographers and provides a competition for excellence. Removing the Like option or having a Likes all option might encourage more posts.
I'm already ducking the rotten eggs and tomatoes.

edited to add: I "like" liking the SOTD posts though...always enjoy strolling through, paying my respects to each and every one!

They took away the 'thanks' option in SOTD as they figured some were gathering up senior member status too quick by posting there and getting lots of thanks.
In my eye, one must look at what is posted there in order to like it.
I, too, like every post as I participate on Sundays. I appreciate all who give it a go.
If I get time to look during the rest of the week, I always like what I see. What's not to like?

At this point my laziness trumps your laziness, so I'm afraid for the time being you will have to keep clicking on the Like link every time you like something or find somebody who is less lazy than me and is willing to help you out with this.

As far as removing the Like feature altogether for the SOTD it appears you're in the Utopian's grumpy minority corner and most people do want to keep it.

You seem to have come empty handed on this one - you bring neither big backing nor big bribe, so my hands are tied.

I do like that you care enough to share your ideas how to make things more to your linking, though.

An across the board "like" wloud mean that you liked everyone's replies to and comments on their posts as well.

Also how would it work going forwards from your like day? Would every subsequent new post get "autoliked" TM?

What if someone posted a comment that you didn't like, you may not notice it but others may well.

Ok already, removing a Like option would be catastrophic, the wet shaving world would collapse and we would slink back to our cans and multi blade vibrating pharmacy razors.....I don't want to be responsible for that.......
