Thread: Home page needs some touch up...

Just noticing that the last update to the home page, other than SOTD, was in March. What's up with that?? I don't want this to come across as being an A-hole, but things are kinda getting crusty and in need of some light polishing there. A small amount of neats foot oil, a little bit of hand sanding, new scales, a touch up on the hones......

I'm sure it's not always easy to keep the site updated, and maybe it's just everyone is busy outside of the site, but maybe it's time for something new on the front page. One of my thoughts was, wouldn't it be cool to see a big picture of a fancy new razor each week on the home page. A "Fancy razor of the week" kinda thing. Someone could be in charge of pulling, at random, an outstanding razor that has been posted, for all to see on the front page. I see amazing razors posted all the time that just kinda hide, buried in one of the sub threads. We're all razor enthusiast and need to see the porn!!

I don't know, maybe I'm out of place... Just trying to help keep things fresh.

I suppose I could, but I'm also very busy outside the forum and I'm not on as much as I use to be. New house, kids just had first day of school, and a bad case of la-zi-ness.... Someone who is on regularly could maybe volunteer, maybe a team of 2 or 3 for when one person can't...

Hello mods. Are you there? The man made a suggestion. Has it fallen on blind eyes or are you all busy sprucing up the lame ass 4 o' clock dinner eatin', chesterfield sittin' on, polident usin' home page?

There are certain pages of the forum that can only be changed by a couple of individuals. Areas like the Wiki & making changes in threads themselves is a whole different animal; several members can do that.

I fear change....

I visit on my phone, on tapa talk. Never see the home page. If doing a websearch and a newbie stumbles in they might.
I'd make the library and wiki and searches more prominent. I have a hard time getting there on my phone.
