Yea, me three.

No biggie! It's just that the forum needed a break from us for a while! :D
Did you guys get withdrawal symptoms from not being able to use the forum? Did it mess up your daily routine? :-)
Need my fix !:needcoffee:
I think the newly appointed moderator was playing with something he wasnt suppose to.... and then the site is down for a couple days.
It was down about a week ago, as well. For like half a day, right?
I am also curious: "wtf?":thinking::shrug:
I think it was either a group of Russian hackers, or maybe one Bulgarian ............ :p
That's the second time I have been suspected of being the culprit. I am not guilty. I want my lawyer. :gaah:
Yes - perhaps you could refer him to the Service Level Agreement and how a Sev 1, site down ticket could remain unanswered for over 24 hours...the penalties will be severe indeed....as a matter of fact, it may warrant you being suspended from using Clubman Pinaud for a month...and that means even the Pinaud Vegetal!! ;)
Occasionally the forum software/database needs to be updated/upgraded or go into maintenance mode. Either way there's always going to be a downtime regardless as the forum needs to be offline. There can always be hardware issues too regarding the server. This is not a PC or Mac update that automatically downloads, updates, reboots after a few minutes and you're done.
Fair enough, my good sir.
I just remembered something while reading your post, about the downtime from about a week ago. The blacksmithing forum that I lurk on was also down during the same period. I suspected it was a problem with vBulletin. But I could not find any official information about "server status", etc. (Kind of like the Xbox Live support site has a page dedicated to up/down status of various services.) So all I was left with was speculation, and not much to fill the boredom with...
Maybe the real reason why it was down is like a quote I read by Allan Watts years ago, he was referring to Buddhism, "Those who say don't know, those who know don't say."
Just a simple SNAFU. Happens all the time when dealing with computer systems.
Wait, wait, so, you’re saying it was not the, Time Warner/Spectrum scumbags, change over and maybe the guy in the Philippines, that I was verbally beating up, was right and it was not their fault?
Like my dad use to say, when he got the belt out and swung for the fences, at my brothers and me, and I proclaimed my innocence. “Well that’s for the times you did something and got away with it.”
He was probably right…
I hear it was those space aliens. They don't have whiskers to shave so they be jealous.
darn aliens takin our websites
I didn't get withdrawal, we were chatting about it non-stop in the chat room:

a Hacker from Solingen :D
Last 3 posts are chat room regulars!!! Where is that 'whoever' guy, and Lazarus?
Whoever must be sleeping still... and lazarous is trying to cure his face from the deep cur he just gave himself with that gold dollar you sold him for 75$ telling him it was made in Sheffield!
