    Default Honing

    I was given a 3000 8000 whetstone, can i use this to touch up my straight? Disabled so can't really go out and buy a different one right now, thanks for your help

    Do you know which brand it is or have a picture of it? This will help me and others determine/compare if it is one we have.

    If it is a Naniwa 3000/8000 stone, definitely.

    8K can produce a fine shave. Following an 8K edge with cerium oxide is a beautiful shave.

    Pastes are applied to a separate strop from your daily use strop.

    To upload a picture the most simple way is in the reply box, on the top row, third from the right is an icon that looks like a picture of a tree, click it and follow the instructions.
