Thread: freenode

Hi all,
there use to be a channle on freenode for srp, did we loose it? there was a recent server switch on freenode's end, it could of happend then, any ideas.

Mostly we don’t need it here, this group right here is all we want and need, the other crap was just so much loud noise, just like some members who aren’t here much either

I will stick with the basic forums. If people want to mingle in chats and tweets and whatever a freenode is they can have it. I think most of us are good with a standard forum.

Never heard of freenode, but there were a number of features I never used when I joined SRP.
Sounds like ICQ, for those that remember that service way back when.

I freaking HATE Free turd. Growing up right down the road from where they were from I had to listen to that 13 minute long version of whining hillbilly noise all the dad blame time. It makes me shatter my teeth when it comes on.

Funny story about that though. A few years ago.my son and I went to see Robin Trower in concert. There was a warm up band that was setting up and doing sound check. While they were checking equipment I yelled out really loud "PLAY FREEBIRD!" and everybody in the place started laughing including the band. My son said to me, "yeah, you can tell it's a bunch of old guys here."
