Where or what is it you're trying to upload photos to?

If it's just where you can upload pictures to a post you make it is really easy. Scroll down when you are done posting whatever, and you should see an "Manage attachments" button. Click it and you will see a box pop up, I circled it and named it "1". In that box a row of options to upload pictures will be present I circled one of them and called it "2" once you uploaded your picture(s) you can press the upload button, again I circled it and this time it's called "3".
Once the browser window is done loading you are now, in case you have also remembered to write what you wanted to write, ready to press submit post or whichever it is called.

In case this was not what you were asking about, please disregard

Edit: uploaded the wrong pic first

I'm also having problems attaching photo's. In the past I was able to attach directly from my computer, but haven't been able to do so for the last several months. I usually get a file error when trying to attach them, but I can post pictures if I paste the image link from photobucket. Anyone else having the same problems?

Hmm. I assume the pictures you're uploading is within the allowed parameters? As in, bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip.
There are also restrictions to size, hight and width. At least that's what the little window says but maybe that is measurements the pictures are forced down into. I don't know never had trouble with it.

yep, jpg's mainly, and I size them down using paintshop pro, that was the first thing I thought of also, so I double checked myself.

I will occasionally have some weirdness when uploading multiple large files, but other than that it has worked fine.

So besides file type what are the size restrictions?

I'm not sure there are others. It's just that the upload screen shows some parameters for some of the filetypes, restrictions for width and height.
But the pictures I uploaded exceeded them as far as I can tell. So perhaps the they are automatically resized upon upload?

They are shown when you scroll down the attachments screen.

Another thought - some apps (e.g. Paintshop) allow you to change various aspects of the file format when you save the image. Maybe some people are using JPG formats that the forum can't understand?

That could be possible, but think it more probable that it might be the browser, I'm using Firefox. I don't think I've tried an attachment using exploder.
