    Exclamation Blog Paste

I'm trying to cut and paste into the Blog pages, but it won't take. If I type something in it seems to be accepted, but I can't get it to register pasted text no matter how I try.

I encountered the same problem when composing in Microsoft Word and trying to paste.

The work-around is to paste from Word into notepad, then copy from notepad and paste into the blog.

The easiest way to do this is ctrl-home, ctrl-shift-end to highlight all text, then ctrl-c to copy to the clipboard. Hit the blog, then ctrl-v to paste.

    Hmmmm...
I just tried entering some text in word97, copyed it to the clipboard via right-click/copy, and then pasted it into the blog edit window via ctrl-v... seemed to work fine.

Since there is no "paste" on the blog window's right-click menu, what "paste" method(s) did you guys use that didn't work?

I just tried to go in and bold some text. It ate my entire post. I had to repaste. When I did a selective bolding to only a few words they were accepted, but not bold.

It pastes it into the window just fine. And you think it's there. And then you click on the save or add button, then look at your post and it's empty! It's a "feature".

I was looking for "options" like to opt OUT of the "feature".

I guess I got lucky when I did my quickie test as it saved the text I pasted. Call it "beginners luck" (I had never even looked at a blog until today... I'm to old to blog ) Anyway, this is moot since I believe David is in the process of switching ya'll over to a new blog system

Basically you are typing online in an (java-)application, which has to get it's info in the right order, whereas word is a program using your windows supplements and thus will be more forgiving.
