Is it just me or is the chat too busy to follow.

Last night seemed a bit surreal at times, I just had to sit back and try to sort out some of the miriad conversations. Solution? I haven't a clue.

    Lightbulb

Those of us that are IRC vets (or AOL chat for that matter) should have no issue, but some of you guys aren't used to fast paced chat so I'll give you a hint...

Just pick a person's name and follow one conversation (tune the other stuff out like you do background noise). The chat logs are usually posted by azjoe later in the week so you may be able to catch up on the stuff you missed in the conversation. I'd try to stay away from following more than one conversation at a time unless you're extremely talented at multi-tasking or you really want a bad headache!

For me it's so much the speed of chat that causes me to fret but the lag!
Last night there were a few times when a whole page worth of conversation would load at once and you'd have to scroll up to see if anyone has addressed you... and by that time another page worth of data loads and you are in a viscous cycle of playing catch up...

Smooth flowing chat's like mIRC/IRC, the good ole'days of AOL and even early Yahoo chat's were fine, fast paced for sure but fine none the less because you could get into a "groove" haha...

Yeah I dont mind the speed of the chat. It helps if people add the name of the people theyre addressing at the start of their text.

viscous |?v?sk?s| adjective having a thick, sticky consistency between solid and liquid; having a high viscosity : viscous lava.
