I was lapping up ''yo mama'' last nite and what an edge she gives! I normally strop, but sometimes I shave straight off ''yo mama.'' Im glad I got her when I did, I paid a really good price. These days ''yo mamas'' go for top bucks.

Your objection doesn't seem to be to acronyms and abbreviations in general, which I would tend to agree with. However I am puzzled as to why of all the acronyms and abbreviations that are commonly used here str8 the one that draws your ire. Of all the acronyms and abbreviations listed in the wiki surely str8 is among the easiest to decipher and the least likely to cause confusion.

I'll put cousin Festus to work right away to implement these recommendations. He has a way with words.

I would love to see any alpha-numeric 'spellings' of words legitimized as standard diagnostics of a case for chemical sterilization, but alas, Congress just won't go with it.

Not sure there's much we can do about it. Strange that, as communication becomes more written (for the moment anyway), it becomes less literate at the same time. 'The future is certain, give us time to work it out', or something. I currently have a cat at my feet hassling to go out, he understands that last sentence. Strange times. Just getting old, I guess. Rage against the dying and all that.
