Default Feature request - RSS support

    Hi guys,

I saw in the announcement for the fundraiser that with the money you guys plan to not only upgrade hardware but also pay a developer to do some work. One thing I think would be extremely useful would be to add RSS support to the forum. This forum is a little behind the times in that respect as it seems that RSS is built in to most forum systems nowadays.

RSS is awesome because it allows you to very quickly skim new posts with brief amounts of the post, and you can read the feed in whatever reader you like (whether it's your email client, iPhone, Google Reader, etc...).

Please do add advertisements to the RSS feeds, nobody will mind, and it will help keep the site running in the long term.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure I can follow. The site has RSS support.

The "New Posts" button can be located at the top of the page in the "Quick Links" menu.

    Hope this helps.

I think Robert means the RSS in XML format which is very easy to read on many platforms and devices as it's a stripped down web feed.

As much as I love the forum it's a PITA to follow on my Iphone.

So what do you reckon the chances are of an SRP iPhone app..? Only problem is I think all the apps are done in objective C, which is just plain horrible. My brothers really into all this stuff though, and he was telling me it may be possible to do apps on Flash C5.

What an excellent idea. I'll give it some serious consideration, okay?
