    Default Site Layout

I'm not sure if this is a setting on my end or the way the site behaves, but I'm pretty sure it's the latter. (I say this because all the internet-connected computers I have access to, I have no admin rights on, and can't change any settings...a lot of things are set slightly strangely. For example, I don't have permission to download a file onto my own removeable USB device...but I can download to desktop and then copy a file...) When I browse the forums on SRP, the sidebar and topbar appear along with the logo, and then there is an enormous white space. Below the bottom of the sidebar is where the forums start. When I go to the next page of a thread, the scrollbar does not automatically scroll back up, so in order to read in a linear fashion, I am using my scrollwheel a lot.

I am using WinXP SP2 on a Dell laptop with a native display of 1024x768. I usually browse in a window that is about 800x700 if I had to guess, but I tried reloading the page in a fullscreen window to see if that was the problem before I posted this. Does anyone else have this problem?

I always just use this url http://straightrazorpalace.com that gets rid of the side bar and top logo. Is that what you mean??

That sort of solves the problem...after doing web development for a few years I guess I am just picky Having to type "/forums" after the URL is SO many keystrokes, after all. Hehe.

I've had that problem as well, though I think it only happens on IE (I tend to use firefox, except at work, where I don't have a choice).

But it's been so long, since I usually go right to the forums, too. Now it just pops up in the address bar anyway.
