Classic Shaving "Rite of Spring" banner ad
Does anyone else find this ad with the African Razor Goddess to be one of the most alluring straight razor advertisements ever produced? (Or am I just a dirty old man?)

I sent them an email telling them that I thought the ad more appropriate for a massage parlor with 'happy endings.' They replied thanking me for my input.

Thanked: 1587Personally it bothers me. Spring is over people!!! It's so, like, one season ago...
Besides that, it confuses me - the words say spring, yet the colours say Autumn!

Thanked: 983I'm lost. I have no idea what you're taliing about here.
. No hang on. I just saw what it was. I don't generally bother looking at the ads, and that one is no different as I've never looked at the words in that banner ad, having never gotten past the chick

Thanked: 983Just because North is the top edge of a map doesn't mean it is above the South Pole. You Northerners have got your universe all Bass Ackwards if you ask me. You see it stands to reason that the Northern hemispere is so populated that, by dint of mass, it must be at the bottom, as we all know that a heavier mass must sit lower than a lighter one. So by my theory Australia, with it's lesser population, is at the top of the world...Of course no one has ever asked me, so I have to resort to spewing out my personal opinions any chance I get...
