Default Anyone here living in Thailand, or know of anywhere to buy shaving gear in Thailand?

    Hello everyone.
I will soon be returning to Thailand after my shopping holiday in Australia with arm loads of razors, scuttles, soaps and creams. But when some of this stuff starts to run out I don't want to have to come all the way to Oz to find more. Does anyone in here know of anywhere in Thailand where one can buy things like shaving soaps and creams? Are there many of us here at straight razor place who live in Thailand?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
    Cheers.

Well I asked the one guy from Thailand in my department if he had any insight and was told that he shaves with an electric razor so no need for canned goop let alone pretty things

    Best of luck sir

There are a couple of people on another forum in Thailand...I think you're a member there (The Shave Den?) so maybe try posting there.

I'm here in Bangkok, and have lived here for quite a few years. Shaving is not something that most Thai's are very concerned about. The other day I watched a taxi driver pluck his facial hair out with tweezers while waiting at the traffic signal. Thais typically have sparse beards, and many don't shave every day.

If you're into DE shaving, Feather blades are sold on the street corners and in the markets, and they're pretty cheap (35 baht for 5). Other than that, you'll have to order stuff from U.S. or Europe.

In Singapore, Mustafas sells Tabac shave sticks. For me, that's as good as anything being sold anywhere, and it's really cheap. They also carry Omega shave cream, which is re-branded Proraso.

Hi. I live in Indonesia, but it is hard to get the supplies here as well. I order directly from the suppliers and have the stuff sent here by mail or courier (depends on items). You might be able to do the same but you will most likely have to pay additional duties on some items (the more expensive ones). I have not had problems with shaving soap and similar yet.

Right I know this is 4 years on but I'll add myself to the Thai connection, I do not use a straight as I'm far to heavy handed and not patient enough although I do use a DE safety razor.
Razor blades are available from hairdressers supplies my local supplier sells Feather for 440 baht per 100, two types of Astra for 160 and 200b per 100 (or is it 260) and chinese blades for about 110 Baht per 100,
For shaving cream (tubs) Body shop does an excellent cream for 500b ish. You can also buy on the net. i always use connaught shaving in the UK as the postage is very cheap: see here or you can get stuff from strawberry.net but it is not cheap. For Thai customs try to keep imports from outside of ASEAN to about $50 and you should not have any problems.
