"The best shaving cream ever"...that would be Mitchells Wool Fat.
That product name sounds familiar. It it available in most stored? Every time I think I've tried them all another great suggestion emerges :)
Sounds like you found yourself a winner.
Unfortunately, anything that contains propellant (ie- comes from a can) is bad for the skin and is off my list. Just too many other great traditional products out there.
I really liked the Aveeno lotions…in fact they were all I would use on my tattoos after I got them at the recommendation of my Artist and they worked well.
Thought I'd check out the ingredients and this is one along with multiple parabens that makes me wonder..Triethanolamine…One of the many uses is as an ingredient in tire dressing.
Typical pressurized can propellants are propane and butane/isobutane, which are extremely drying to skin. Most canned shaving creams now come with "additional moisturizers" to try to compensate for this fact.
Other than that fact, my "assumption" is based on my own direct experience: dry skin and other issues disappearing when I quit using canned goo with healthier looking skin as a result. And I'm not the only one.
I have no issue if you like Aveeno. If it works for you, great. Just not my cup of tea, that's all.
