When I was learning to lather Proraso was my Uber-Lather catalyst. 15 seconds on the MWF, a squirt of Proraso, and 5 drops of glycerine. I no longer Uber-Lather, but it will produce a great shave during your learning phase.

Funny enough, it's the same situation at a popular Italian shopping centre here in Edmonton: they only sell the green products, labelled strictly in Italian (no English/French, which is the norm for products imported into Canada). You would think they'd carry the Proraso motherload but that's not the case. A Canadian drug store chain (Shoppers Drug Mart) has a better selection but no Blue to be found.
I can get from eBay but with postage a tube is the best part of $20
The Blue is an excellent cream, thick and rich, and a pleasing fragrance, but not overpowering. The light menthol is a very nice touch. I have a theory that Proraso came up with the Blue as a marketing response to I Coloniali softening with rhubarb.
I just started using the blue tube Proraso two days ago. I really like it, but then again I like the red, the green, and now the blue!! It is good stuff!!
I know this is an old thread but I just recently had the chance to try the blue out. Have to agree with the OP's review. I believe I like the blue the best of the 3 available choices. I think it is a real sleeper in their line up.

I'm with you Bob. The Blue has become the one I use when I really want to test an edge, because if it fails, it's the edge, not the lather. I've had my best shaves with Proraso Blue, and I've also combined it with both MWF and Arko on difference occasions, which worked very well too.
