Can some one come up with a list of soaps that are tallow?
Only tallows I use are Cella,P160.Euro Palmolive, would like to know of others also.
Hooboy! There are lots of them.. Mitchell's Wool Fat, of course.. most of the German soaps such as Palmolive, Tabac and Speick.. the Turkish Trio (Arko, Derby, GZD).. the Spanish soaps such as Lea and La Toja are all tallow based.
Stirling soaps are mostly tallow based and even include one made from hog tallow - that's right, lard - (Bacon scented) and one made from sheep tallow (Scots Pine).
Mike's Natural Soaps are tallow based and are very popular here.. sheesh.. the list goes on!

Thank you, i'm still a newbie, so I like all the info I can get. Thanks again. :beer1:
Mitchell's Wool Fat and Tabac. My old puck of DR Harris is tallow based but I believe they reformulated in the last few years and their soaps aren' tallow any more.
Are there any benefits to tallows?
I like tallows because my skin likes them,is all I have ever used.
This may sound off the wall, but I also think tallow soaps Protect Carbon steel blades from staining and rust.
I have never had a blade stain or rust.
For me it is the same as with the two. make that three, previous posters. It takes a very good glycerine/veggie based soap and they are out there, to compete with a good tallow based soap.
