Default Mamma Bear where have you been all my life?

I just recently went full tilt in the world of wet shaving. I Have been using Col. Conk products for about 2 years but decided to give DE and single edge shaving a go. After researching and reading and watching endless youtube videos and reviews I decided to get some Mamma Bear shave soap well, Aqua Di Gio Type Glycerin Shave Soap to be exact.

WOW I was blown away, how smooth and easy it is to lather blew my mind. The Colonel will still be in my rotation but Mamma has a new fan boy.

There are a lot of opinions on soaps but I have never seen a bad comment about Mama Bear's. It's what sits on my counter :<0)

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Good stuff-Nothing beats a shave with Mama Bear Awakenings, followed by an ice cube rub and Aqua-Velva Ice Blue-brrrr!

Mama Bear shave soap is produced by Sue Clark in northern Wisconsin. In addition to producing fine soaps, Sue is also a sweet person.

Here you get the first one LOL

I have tried a dozen of Mama Bear's soaps and also the Col Conk.
The Col Conk I used it once. Ok, but boring.
Mama Bear's are all the same. They get the lather done quickly. The lather is dense but it gives the impression of a non real soap. More close to a shaving can made lather than to a real soap made lather. Cannot compete in terms of whiskers' preparation the "real soaps" like MWF or the old P.160, or Cella, or Valobra or any Italian almond.

I may buy again sometime a Mama Bear's soap because of the huge variety or the scents. Especially my favorite one which is Spellbound Woods. But I don't really like glycerin soaps.

But this is only me. Everyone else likes these soaps

I've been using Mama Bear soaps almost exclusively for the past two months and the performance has been excellent. Definitely on par with any of the newer artisan soaps, or the older classic soaps. Once the water is dialed in correctly it will produce a very slick lather with tons of protection. I think the trick is that it does take more water than people would expect. I recommend experimenting with it.

I have the Aged Spice scent on my counter, and it is fantastic. Not just the scent but the soap as well. The lather is quite creamy

I just bought the mentholated soaps. I can't wait for them to get here.

Good soap but very thirsty. It took a few tries to get the water dialed in, but now I get a consistent creamy, slick foam. I also like the great variety of scents that are available.

Mama Bear Sue makes great soaps, the variety of scents are amazing, performance is top notch. My favorites are her Dragon's Blood and Orange Orange, have maybe a dozen more in the den, good stuff
