Yes, that was one of the things I read also. After having used the soap I think that advice must be some kind of joke. I loaded the brush well for this morning face lathered shave and was rewarded with more than enough lather for my usual 4 pass shave. The lather was as slick and thick as most other soaps I have used in the Musgo soap's price range.

I use this soap from time to time. Not exceptional, but it works just fine. My favorite part is the scent, which is unique and lasting.
I prefer their cream, as it has top notch performance IMO. But the soap is good, especially with the price point. It doesn't deserve the bad rep.
Yes, I agree it is not exceptional, nor did I say it was, but works as well as others at it's price point. Yes, the scent is unique and pleasant for me. Happy to see that at least two of us use the soap and don't think it deserves the bad rep.

Likewise, i'd heard some noise about this soap being a poor performer. slightly sceptically i bought some anyway coz it seems quite cheap. very pleasantly surprised! i found it took no time at all to knock up plenty of creamy lather using a fairly regular and inexpensive badger. making sure to work the puc quite hard and fully splaying a damp brush to load. i did find however it left my face feeling a bit dryer than i'm used to so i might cook it down with a drop of almond oil. i think it's going to last me for ages too so for £7…(probably half that in portugal) still a definite bargain.
