I'll miss it used it for 30 years with no issue. You don't have to jump through hoops to get it to work. It is a mug soap so build the lather in the mug. Works every time. Stable, thick and non drying. First soap, along with Old Spice that were my main soaps for decades until the internet came along.

I have no dificulty to get lather from that soap, the trick is simple anyway it work for me. Williams needs Water, at least a 12 hrs pre soak when the puck is new and a 15 to 20 min brush and soap soak in hot tap Water just before the shave.

I picked two pucks at the grocery store this evening. I'll probably give it a whirl this weekend. Time to get a proper shaving mug.

Just shaved with Williams old formula. Nice, comfortable shave. Very creamy lather from face lathering.

I agree a reissue with the old formula would make a killing. Same advice could be given to Crabtree/Evelyn, Trumper, Xpec, etc.

I did see a tube of 8 vintage Williams pucks on Etsy last night. It looked like the tube was still unopened.

Yes the "old" formula is a whole other horse and is very good by comparison.
