I got the Hungarian lavender and like it very much. The Barber shop is also nice although the scent is very minimal. Both perform very well and I use them at least 2-3/week.
I have to concur with those members that were less than satisfied with MWF. I just tried it for the second time yesterday and felt like the shave was unusual for my outings with the straight. It was close but not particularly comfortable. After the shave, I did what I always do...feel the lather between middle finger and the thumb. All of my soaps or creams feel like a thick slippery cream...MWF was noticeably thin...possibly I did not really work at it, none of my other soaps require it.
I had a similar feeling about MWF when I first tried it. I set it aside for about 6 months and thought I'd try it again before tossing it out to make room for more soaps and was surprised by how my perception of it changed. I now liked the scent, find it quite pleasant where before it was just a dull soapy odor. The big difference is that I load the brush far more now and get the outstanding lather everyone has described. I find that all my really hard soaps need more work, but in the end reward for it.
Attention MWF users !!!!!!! Now Pay Attention.....go buy a cheap cheese grater...then grate your puck of MWF...then stuff all the grated stuff back into a container. NOW TRY IT !!! And like noted above...load that brush like 30 swirls....and don't forget to put some hot water on top of the MWF while your in the shower. ENJOY !!
