Okay now that I have used the Castle Forbes Lime I can say I now have a real benchmark shaving soap! Not only was the performance outstanding but the post feel was also tier 1. Thanks for this post I had no idea :rock:

IMO, its close. But not on the same level as MDC. It is a great cream for sure. And i tried the pre-shave baumbe too. Its a bit greasy but a quality pre-shave.Quote:

I used to think TC was pulling my leg about when he said he would do 3 swirls to load his brush with MDC. I've found that with about 5 or 6 swirls I got enough on my brush for a full shave. Most other soaps take a lot more to have enough for a full shave. The stuff is going to last you (and me) forever my friend! I got the fougere and the original. Its a matter of learning how wet to have your brush.
