Hey guys. I've been following this thread from the beginning and I must say, it's changed my whole perspective on shaving and shave soaps/creams. So much so that I've tried to go beyond all the quality brands that have been presented thus far and seek new top tier soaps. I've managed to add most of these brands to my den with one or two more to go. Along the way, I've discovered a cream that has left me wondering why nobody has mentioned it so far. It's the British Barber Association Shave Cream. Not easy to find but I was lucky enough to get a sample and was very surprised at how good this stuff was. I also recently purchased the Ariana & Evans Oriental Plum. And again, very pleasantly surprised at how good this soap is. Just my two additions to the list. If anyone has had the pleasure to try these two brands, please share your thoughts.
Alkis,
I have seen their website, but know nothing about the soap. They also give a limited description of their product. Perhaps others have used this product.
Gentlemen,
Henri et Victoria shave products have been a bit of a mystery here. They are little known on this forum, but now and then the name pops up. This is a Canadian artisan product line that I plan to use for the next few days and share my thoughts with you. Stay tuned.
If you have sensitive skin, stay away from Henri at victoria. It felt like an acid bath.
I am not known for having sensitive skin but when I tried the sample of Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars I did feel a burning sensation. Too bad as the scent is lovely as is the lather. I don't know if all the soaps are like that having tried only this one.
Bob
rolodave, I bet you are referring to the "Cognac and Cuban Cigar" scented soap.
The "Cognac and Cuban Cigar" is the most popular of the "Henri et Victoria" line, the soap however has a higher percentage of the scent added so those with sensitive skin may experience a reaction, not to the soap but to the bountiful scent.
Obie thank you, i look forward to your review.
Gentlemen,
I have various samples of Henri et Victoria's other soaps to try. Looking forward to it.
