Gentlemen,
Keep checking the original list of tiers, because I continuously add products to it, as I recall them. Sometimes I also move the products from one tier to another.
Glad to see you taking the time to update this thread, I've tryed everyone one of the top tier and several second tier, no disappointments, but I really now just use MDC and Castle Forbes, with a couple days a month throw some Tabac or Green Mountain, I have come to the conclusion, I won't need to try much more, but I always try just to make sure. Tc
Gentlemen,
Here are some new additions to the Tiers:
Second Tiers: Mondial is Italian, offering cream and soap. This product has been around for some years, but I started using the cream recently. I like the lather; cushion and glide are good, too. Plenty of moisture here. The only fragrance I have used, the bergamot and Neroli, is subtle and refreshing. Mondial is an excellent Second-Tier product. Good stuff.
Third Tier: Shave Revolution produces a soft cream that is surprisingly good. It lathers well, and the cushion and glide are good. The fragrance is not overwhelming. The cream comes in reusable plastic tubs. I am quite pleased with this cream.
Third Tier: Fume is a Turkish shave soap that lathers well and offers fairly good cushion and glide. Moisture is good. I have used the lavender offering and found the fragrance quite pleasant. This one is hard to find, however, but it is worth searching for it.
Oh. no. More on the list to try. Too much lather, not enough time! Thank you obie!
Thanks again Obie I was wondering about Mondial, you must have read my mind.

Obie, great to see you working so hard and publishing all this wonderful information - I have come back to this thread several times :)
I agree with you on the vast majority of your Tier 1: Martin de Candre, Castle Forbes (especially Lavender), C&S Oxford & Cambridge and XPEC original are all favourites of mine.
Rum, my friend, thank you for the kind words. Yes, this is a lot of fun to do for me. There are still a lot more products and I'll include them as they pop into my memory.
Aha! Crabtree & Evelyn. I remember using a tub of the sandalwood years ago. I loved the fragrance — sandalwood is a favorite — but the the soap's overall performance did not impress me. The lather was thin and the cushion was okay. I don't remember the quality of the glide. I think it deserves the Third Tier ranking, just going from memory, since I have not used it for years. Perhaps one of these days I'll give it another try.
They changed the scents a year or so ago. The Indian Sandalwood now uses an Australian variety of the famous oil. I like the smell of the cologne especially (but don't own it). It's worth trying it out.
I look forward to reading your opinions, Obie!
If I can help in any way by sending you any samples of products made here or in Europe that you would otherwise have trouble getting your hands on in the States, do let me know and I will do my best to help out.
Rum,
Thank you for the information. Thank you also for your kind offer. I will definitely keep it in mind.
Stay well,
Obie
