Is this a rare and memorable soap?

The Kings Men Shave Bowl.
Was untouched and sealed when I got it, about 60 years old, lathered it up and it was a stellar performing soap, like Scottish Fine Shaving Soap / MWF..beautiful light scent, and burst with lather in the bowl.

I have no idea how you guys can have a beautiful soap sitting in your house and never ever use it. I do like the fact that you have them and share the pictures. It shows my lack of control in these issues though.
Just for the record, this is my new favorite thread ever...
I started lathering soap with a brush around 1975 or 6. Did it purely because I'm cheap and I like all things retro. My Dad used canned cream, and so did I up until that time, so my knowledge of old soaps is limited.
I bought an Old Spice mug with soap included. When that was used up, I couldn't find Old Spice refills anymore, and Williams fit fairly well, so that was it. Even the barber had a machine that instantly produced lather, so my view of the world was rather limited.
I've found some old Williams pucks, and it is rather nice... beyond that I have tried nothing.
I wonder how the performance of a 50 year old puck compares to when it was new? In any case, I don't have the room just for collectibles, so if I buy it, I'm usin' it!
But, the old soaps are interesting, and I enjoy seeing and reading about them!
*************UPDATE****************
Vintage Avon "Who's Your Daddy" shave soap put to the test.
I pulled another soap off the Bay,,, to use.
I took one of my best soap brushes & went to work on the soap. I washed & worked the soap under running water for a few minutes to remove any surface contaminants from the last 40 years or more.
Then I place in a bowl to work lather. It was hard to work the soap in the bowl, as it is so large,,, so I loaded the brush & worked the lather on the face. Used one of my straights currently in the rotation to shave with.

Results:
The worst shave of my young straight razor career. Horrible scent,,, the soap should be renamed as the "Houdini Shave Soap",,, the dang lather totally disappeared before I finished my right cheek. It had about as much cushion as a jail house mattress.
Lesson learned:
Keep your vintage soaps for display & thank God for Cella & MDC.
Did the face laugh at ya afterwards?
:rofl2:
How does vintage yardley perform? I'm curious now about this vintage soap game!
I don't know,,, I have never used mine.
