It is by far the slickest creme or soap I have used and I've used most. It doesn't give you a lot of lather like TOBS but it is more then enough. I usually use a pre shave but decided to try this without it. Amazing how smooth my straight razor glided over my face. 3 passes and no irritation and I have a course beard and sensitive skin. The Sandlewood is pleasant but not overwhelming. It stays the whole shave. If you have problems with soap or creme drying out, all you need to do is add a little water to your face and it stays nice and slick. Washes up easily and the real test was when I used my alum bloc, no pain. Can't beat the price at about $7 a tub.
