Are there any more good tallow triple-milled soaps - besides DRH, MWF, Tabac and C&S?

Fine Accoutrements are advertised as triple-milled, tallow soaps. I too have a slight bias for tallow soaps and the two Fine offerings in my rotation, Snake Bite and American Blend, are very good soaps that build a lather almost as easily as my D.R. Harris puck. I will say that I would classify these as a bit on the soft side for a hard soap but certainly harder than the Italian-style artisan soaps.

I recall seeing that these soaps are actually manufactured in the Netherlands, under contract for Fine Accoutrements. I say this because it tends to indicate that these aren't exactly "artisan" soaps.

Thank you! Would you classify them as first-tier?

I'm hesitant to call anything "Top Tier" since I haven't experienced many of those soaps that most classify that way. In all seriousness, I simply can't bring myself to spend the type of coin that soaps like MdC command. That said, I will gladly call Fine's offerings Second Tier Plus and will rate them very highly indeed when compared against soaps in the same price range.

My puck of American Blend seems to build a lather slightly easier than the Snake Bite but both build a quality lather with relatively little effort. For the sake of comparison, my rotation consists of offerings from Fine (American Blend, Snake Bite), D.R. Harris (Windsor), Stirling (Gin & Tonic, Margaritas in the Arctic), Sudsy Soapery (Delor de Treget, Lavender & Peppermint, Twice Mint) and Mitchell's Wool Fat. The worst lathering option of the bunch is the MWF but the rest all lather relatively well. The very best in that list is, unsurprisingly, the D.R. Harris but I'd put the Fine products as a close second.

In all honesty, I haven't been using the American Blend all that often as of late but I pulled it out a few days ago and was once again amazed at how well it lathered.

Get some Haslingers before they too change to a veggie based soap.

Those 4 soaps you already mentioned are about what comes to mind. That product ingredient isn't so common anymore plus making a triple mill's a pain for a small vendor, and maybe I can blab for another couple of lines about how things can go south when it comes to soaps/creams makers changing things up for whatever reason.

When tallow became 'bad' maybe 6-7 years ago now many major companies went vegan...heh. Large well respected names like Pens, Foris, and Trumper to name three all reformulated their soaps. Not talking about the creams, since I know for example the Penhaligons creams have always gotten excellent reviews, by myself as well. No, I mean the triple milled beauties.

From what I understand Floris was smart enough to change some ingredients and now I hear good things again. Trumpers soaps I do not hear anything good about and haven't for a long time.

Penhaligons went through an incarnation or two and I can't say how the puck performs now. Usta be not good there for a while but I faintly recollect that being fixed. Once again, the creams are a different animal.

Maybe this'll be interesting to you or someone and sorry I can't add names to your list,

I bought a puck of Floris about half a year ago, and it's a disgrace of a soap! Tenfold so, considering its price. There is entire thread about it so I will not go into it now. I wrote them about 6 weeks ago, got "our research dpt. will contact you" reply, and nothing since.
Penhaligon's went all vegetal...
It seems there aren't many good tallow triple-milled soaps out there:(

Just so you are aware in advance, I am a sales rep for "Henri et Victoria".
This afternoon i received one of my orders from Claude and Jean-Mathieu the two artisans in Gatineau Quebec Canada who developed the "Henri et Victoria" product line.
They had previously advised that they were sending a sample of their newest product (which im told will be available in the next month or so), a triple milled tallow based shave soap in the "Nautilis" scent. I believe the "Nautilis will be followed by other scents in the triple milled process as well.
I hope i don't get into trouble letting the cat out of the bag.

* AoS (Art of Shaving) is excellent and you can find packs of three on ebay and online for a very reasonable price.

Thanks! I bought 3 pucks of Haslinger to try. They have some interesting options, and I really hope they'll be as good as DRH. By the way, their pucks are pretty small - any recommendations for matching wooden bowl? Or are they mug-sized?
