Proraso acquired Valobra

Proraso acquired Valobra.
I hope they will preserve Valobra's shaving soaps line. I so much prefer Valobra's hard triple-milled tallow-based soaps over Proraso.

I like their soap too, so I’m with you, I hope it stays the same.

Valobra also makes Czech & Speake soaps, some of the best available.

Then lets hope that we can buy Valobra soaps at Shoppers Drug Mart, they carry Proraso, in the not too distant future. I won't hold my hand over my backside waiting for that to happen though. ;)

Yep. I have both C&S's O&C and Valobra's Fougere - they look and perform absolutely the same, only the fragrance is different.
I think they also used to made AOS's old tallow-based formula, that was an excellent shaving soap too.

Better than Proraso must be pretty darned good stuff. Proraso green is the standard by which I compare shave soaps. Now I have to keep my eyes out.
