I tried this today...all i can say is that it was the best shave ever, i had absolutely no irritation...super super comfortable.
I followed the steps that gssixgun has posted in several threads.
I loaded the brush with soap(cake) then in a warm bowl i added 4 drops of glycerin and a pea size(maybe little more) of shaving cream...and went to town lathering this thing.
Right away i noticed a different lather...it was thicker,shinnier and had a viscosity to it that i think was the responsable of this great shave...it felt like a mix of skinfood and lather all at once..wich if you tink of it ... is what it is...
Now...i bought this bottle of glycerin at whole foods for $4, i coudnt help but notice that they also sell almond oil...castor oil...avocado oil....anybody experimented with anything else besides glycerin?
