My favorites are still the Bay Rum and Pinaud clubman. Not much of a vanilla man and the lilac was a bit foo foo. I used to like Old Spice man try that again.

If I've read correctly most, if not all of the flavors Tony is sampling for us comes from Bowman Beauty SupplyQuote:

I stand corrected.
I only thought it was Bowmans because:
Since these are the samples that Tony has expressed sampling, and not so much the Pinaud, I gathered that Rob was referring to the lesser known brands.Quote:
Along with my strop order from Bowman’s Beauty I tried a few of their aftershaves. They have a Lustray Spice... They have another called Osage Rub... Third one is something called Tiger Tonic
When the Pinaud was referenced there was no mention of sources other than:
While there was no mention of acquiring anything from Classic, I may be mistaken.Quote:
I wanted to try that but my local source does not sell it. I will check Norva Barber Supply, nice dealer and they carry some Pinaud's stuff.

It's fun doing an online search for barber supply houses. They often sell shaving supplies along with tonics and aftershaves. I found mugs, soaps, razors, etc.... at almost everyone I encountered in my search and most are far less expensive than the usual razor outlets we are familiar with.
I got the lesser known brands from Bowmans and see that Norva Barber Supply has a few more flavors too that Bowmans does not carry and I plan to order soon.
The common Pinaud's I used (Clubman and Bay Rum) came from the local Walgreens but every supplier has those. I think Classic Shaving carries the complete Pinauds line though as there are scents there I have not seen elsewhere.

I did get my Pinaud vanilla from ClassicShaving.
Another good classic aftershave scent is Florida Water. I have the version from Murray & Lanman, and actually found it at Walgreen's. Goes on strong, but fades pretty quickly. I like it.

Parry,
Yep, the Florida Water is pretty nice too. It has a strong scent of rosmary but does quickly fade away.

Okay, the free offer on the Pinauds Special Reserve and the Lilac Vegital has been snapped up by our new young member Sinatra. I am gladly sending these 2 bottles off after the Holiday and hope he enjoys them.
Keeping in the spirit of the razor giveaway if you guys have unsued things laying around don't forget our younger members on a tight budget.
